State-Building Since Independence in ArmeniaShare:
Karena Avedissian’s research focuses on how attitudes about socio-economic and political realities in Armenia have changed. The study aims to provide qualitative indicators of Armenia’s state-building processes and how these processes have shaped the context of people’s lives. It will further offer better understandings of how a constructed ‘Armenianness’ emerges out of lived experience in the Republic of Armenia. The study draws from two data sets of in-depth interviews – one from 1993-1994, and the other from 2015-2016.
