Available Positions

Job Title: Student Worker – Oral History Interview Transcriber
The Institute of Armenian Studies is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented student worker to assist with transcribing oral history interviews. This role is essential for preserving and documenting the oral histories of individuals within the Armenian community, contributing to the Institute’s broader mission to study and promote Armenian voices/stories/narratives. 

Job Title: Student Worker – Oral History Interview Translator
The Institute of Armenian Studies is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented student worker to assist with translating oral history interviews from Eastern and/or Western Armenian into English. This role is crucial for making the interviews accessible to a broader audience and preserving the rich cultural and historical narratives of the global Armenian community.

Job Title: Student Worker – Communications Assistant 
The Institute of Armenian Studies is seeking a talented student worker to assist with developing communications materials. This role involves creating, editing, and proofreading content for the Institute’s newsletters, website, printed materials, and social media platforms. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent writing skills, and an interest in Armenian studies. 

Job Title: Student Worker – Metadata Assistant
The Institute of Armenian Studies is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented student worker to assist with creating metadata for oral history interviews and other digitization projects. This role is essential for making the Institute’s archives accessible and searchable via USC Digital Libraries, contributing to the Institute’s broader mission to study and promote Armenian voices/stories/narratives. 

Job Title: Student Worker – Graphic Designer 
The USC Institute of Armenian Studies is seeking a creative student worker to assist with developing visually compelling communication materials. This role involves creating and editing graphic designs for the Institute’s website, printed materials, and social media platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and a keen eye for aesthetics. 

Work Hours: 10 am to 4 pm in person at DMC 351, with the occasional need for additional hours during Institute events.  Minimum 6 hours a week in minimum 3-hour blocks. Maximum 15 hours a week.
