USC Dornsife offers two scholarships for continuing undergraduate students of Armenian descent: the Harry and Helen Kalpakian Memorial Scholarship and the Charlie Keyan Scholarship.

Harry and Helen Kalpakian Memorial Scholarship

Established in 1988 by members of the Kalpakian family as a memorial to their parents, Harry and Helen Kalpakian, this scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate the ability or desire to further the interests of individuals of Armenian descent in liberal arts education.

  • GPA of 3.2 or higher
  • Sophomore standing or higher
  • Given to students who demonstrate the ability or desire to further the interests of individuals of Armenian descent in the fields of humanities, natural sciences, or social sciences

Charlie Keyan Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate the ability or desire to further the interests of individuals of Armenian descent in liberal arts education.

  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Given to students who demonstrate the ability or desire to further the interests of individuals of Armenian descent in the fields of humanities, natural sciences, or social sciences

Please note there are two deadlines associated with these scholarships.

Wednesday, February 14: Deadline to submit the name and contact information of the faculty member who will be completing a recommendation.

Friday, March 8: Deadline to submit completed online scholarship application.

In addition to the specific eligibility criteria of each scholarship, applicants must also have a declared Dornsife major at the time of applying, be a full-time undergraduate student at the time of applying, and during the 2024–2025 academic year (Fall 2024 graduates are eligible to apply).
